About Me

Hi there!

My name is Katy Hawthorne, and I am a Singer, Actor, Dancer currently based in Rochester, NY.  I grew up in Saratoga Springs, NY where I fostered my love for musicals first performing at 5, and have never stopped since. Growing up I loved singing through Disney movies, in choirs, in lessons, and rehearsals. These rehearsals combined with my years as a competitive gymnast created the beaming, Disney loving, musical singing, handwalker you see today. Since my teenage years I began additionally training in Dance as well as acting, and currently attend Nazareth University for Musical Theatre, looking forward to graduating in Spring 2025.

When I am not performing, you can find me knitting my latest project while listening to a fantasy book or a new cartoon, or playing my favorite video game, which currently happens to be Minecraft. Any excuse to hang out with friends, be creative, and talk fantasy!

While performing will always be my first love, I also have a deep passion for teaching. Whether that be teaching kids Nemo as a music director, or at the front of the studio teaching dance, there is a certain joy that comes from seeing kids learn to love what we do
